Jeffrey M. Van Diepen, President, CEO, MBA
Jeffrey M. Van Diepen founded Pestmaster Services in the small Eastern Sierra town of Bishop, CA in 1979. The company was borne with an earnest concern for the environment and safety, and the company has remained dedicated to providing pest management services with this idea front and center.
Jeff is a serial entrepreneur. He has started pest control operations from Florida to Hawaii and from Washington State to Washington, D.C. As of the writing of this in early 2017, we have 36 franchises and 3 company owned operations in 15 states and D.C. PCT Magazine ranks Pestmaster as the #80 pest control company in the nation (21,000 firms).
With a never ending goal of pursuing excellence, Jeff is committed to constantly “raising the bar” of professionalism in the pest control industry. To that end, he is or has been licensed in no less than 15 states. He’s received his Associate Certified Entomologist (A.C.E.) credentials from the Entomological Society of America, and earned an MBA from Pepperdine University, in Malibu, CA in 2008.
As an active member of the National Pest Management Association, Jeff has joined the exclusive group (less than 3% of USA pest control companies) and received the Quality Pro, Green Pro and Quality Pro Schools credentials.
Jeff’s passion is growing businesses and developing young PCO’s to embrace the unique profession of pest management. Pestmaster’s expert services are subscribed to by hospitals, utilities, numerous school districts, government agencies, commercial businesses and the hospitality sector. The knowledge has led to Jeff being a sought out expert for investment groups, attorneys in legal matters and specification writers for complicated pest control solicitations. Along with his talented team, Pestmaster is one of only 45 companies who have been able to navigate themselves into a contract with the federal government’s GSA multiple award system.
Pestmaster management and franchise owners have a rare opportunity to work with a true pioneer of “green” pest management, as Jeff identifies and creates new horizons and crafts systems and procedures that work. Accomplishing the “absence” of pests, with the use of low or non-toxic materials, is a standard operating procedure within the company.
Jeff is the proud father of a son and daughter, and grandfather to four. He’s also an accomplished private pilot and hunter.
